Daniela Doina Cioboată, PhD, Eng. is the head of the Mechatronic of Intelligent Measurements Laboratory – MMI 2 at the National Institute of Research and Development in Mechatronics and Measurement Technique – INCDMTM Bucharest. She received her PhD degree in mechatronic engineering from ¨Politehnica¨ University of Bucharest, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics, in 2013.

Her research activities are focused on: mechatronic measurement technologies; mechatronic equipment and systems for the automotive industry; monitoring and vibro-acoustic diagnostics of machine tools, motors, pumps; control of dynamic processes in real time; industrial automation. She is a former reviewer of scientific manuscripts for the ‘’Mechatronics’’ Journal that used to be included in the Elsevier Editorial System (EES).

She is an author, or a co-author of two books and more than 45 scientific papers, published in the Proceedings of National and International Conferences and International Journals.

She has implemented and coordinated over 35 research projects funded by National and European funds. She has also participated in several privately-funded research and development projects, for companies in the automation and automotive sectors.

About the Professor
José Machado received his PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering – Automation, from University of Minho, Portugal (and, in simultaneous, from Ecole Normale Superieure de Cachan, France) in 2006.
He is Assistant Professor at Mechanical Engineering department of University of Minho. He has authored, or co-authored, more than 150 refereed journal and conference proceeding papers. He has coordinated – and participated as collaborator – in several Research Projects on Mechatronics and Automation domains and his main interests are related with mechatronic design, design of medical devices and design and analysis of dependable controllers for obtaining dependable mechatronic systems. He is a member of IEEE and a member of IFAC.

Prof. Pierluigi REA, from Italy – University of Cassino, Associate Editor

About the Professor
Pierluigi Rea got in 2002 the Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio, at the same university he got the Ph.D. Degree in Civil and Mechanical Engineering in 2007. In 2014, he got the Italian National Scientific Qualification as Associate Professor in the field of Mechanics of Machines. He has been Professor by Contract at the University “Guglielmo Marconi” in Rome for the course of Bioengineering for the years from 2008 to 2011. From 2010 to 2013 he has been Assistant Professor by contract at the University of Cassino for the Mechanical Design disciplines. Since 2002 he participated at several public and private research projects, with leaders of companies in automation and automotive sectors. From 2007 to 2010 he has been Assistant Researcher at the University of Cassino for the development of research activity regarding the Design and Experimentation of electro-pneumatic servo-systems for the actuation of robotic devices. Currently, he is Assistant Researcher for the courses of Mechanics of Machines, Design of Mechanisms, Mechanics of Actuation and Fluid Automation. His research interests regard topics on Mechatronics and Mechanical Design, Analysis and Synthesis of Mechanisms, Robotics and Fluid Automation. He is author and/or co-author of more than 70 scientific papers, published in Proc. of National and International Conferences and International Journals.

About the Professor
Professor Adrian Olaru has graduated from ¨Politehnica¨ University of Bucharest, Faculty of Machines and Manufacturing Systems, Romania.
From 1974 to 1990 he worked as a designing engineer with “Optica Romana” Enterprise, also being an associate assistant at the Faculty of Machine-Building Technology of the Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest. In 1990, he became an appointed lecturer at the Faculty of Technological Systems Engineering and Management, in the Machine-Tools Department. Currently, since 1998 he has been a full professor and he teaches the following courses: Industrial Robots Dynamics, LabVIEW application in modelling and simulation of the dynamic behaviour of robots, servosystems and components, analyse and syntheses of electrohydraulic servosystems for industrial robots, personal and social robots and vibration of the virtual prototypes of industrial robots. He has been a doctor since 1989.

Prof. Sahin YILDIRIM, from Turkey – Erciyes University, Associate Editor

About the Professor
Dr. Sahin Yildirim has received the MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1990 from Erciyes University, Turkey. He has received his PhD degree in 1998 from Cardiff University. He was established Mechatronic Engineering Department in 2005, Kayseri, Turkey. He is head of the Mechatronic Engineering Department. He is lecturing the control theory, robotics, neural network applications in engineering at Erciyes University, Turkey. He has been supervised some national and international projects such as nurse robot design and control, active vehicle system design and control, 2 legged walking robot control. He has been reviewed more than 100 papers. He is also author of more than 140 journal and conference papers. He is currently supervising more than 30 PhD and M.Sc. students. His research area is consisted of neural network, control theory and applications, mobile and industrial robots, vehicle Dynamics and control.

Prof. Luciana Cristea is a professor with University «TRANSILVANIA» of Brasov who graduated from the Faculty of Mechanics, Department of Precision Mechanics, in 1988.
Over the course of time, she has held several research and teaching positions, of which are the following: trainee engineer, project engineer, scientific researcher, research engineer, head of works, associate professor and a professor with University «TRANSILVANIA» of Brasov.
Skills and areas of expertise: control technologies and systems; optimization of feed devices, transport and dosing systems used in the construction of control machines; structural improvement of dimensional and automated commercial control systems.

About the Professor
Paulo Eigi Miyagi received B.Eng. from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1982, M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan in 1985 and 1989 respectively. He received his D.Sc. degree (Livre-Docencia) from the University of Sao Paulo in 1994.  Since 1997, he has been a Full Professor at University of Sao Paulo where he was Head of Department, Coordinator of Postgraduate Program and Chairman of the Postgraduate Committee. He is a senior member of IEEE, ABCM, and member of SBA, SBPN. He was Editor-in-Chief and Associate Editor of the Journal of the Brazilian Society of Mechanical Sciences and Engineering. He was also, member of the Board of Directors of ABCM, SBA and SBPN. He is the author of the book “Programmable Control”, published by Editora Edgard Blucher and co-author of the books “Modeling and Analysis of Hybrid Supervisory Systems” published by Springer Verlag and “Fault Tolerance in Manufacturing Systems: Applying Petri Nets” published by VDM Verlag. Prof. Yevgen TSEGELNYK, from Ukraine – “O.M. Beketov” National University of Urban Economy in Kharkiv

About the Professor
Yevgen Tsegelnyk is an Associate Professor at the Department of Automation and Computer-Integrated Technologies of the O.M. Beketov National University of Urban Economy in Kharkiv (Ukraine). He received his Ph.D. degree in Aerospace Engineering from National Aerospace University “Kharkiv Aviation Institute” (Ukraine) in 2010. He has more than 15 years of international experience in research and development. He had an international traineeship as Post Doctorate at the Czech Technical University in Prague (Czech Republic) in 2014. His research interests cover innovation technologies, including the methods of manufacturing for the digital industry, processing with intense energy fluxes (technologies using plasma, laser, and detonation sources), additive and subtractive manufacturing technologies, and applied computing techniques.

Ayush Lal is a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Aptiv in Michigan, USA. He received his Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University, USA in 2017. His main skills and expertise cover the areas of power electronics, computational fluid dynamics and vehicle electrification. Mr. Lal has worked with automotive giants such as Delphi Technologies (now Borg Warner) and Eaton Corporation in e-mobility in the US. About the Professor
Rochdi El Abdi is a professor with the University of Rennes 1 (Institute of Physics, Rennes1 University- Department of Mechanics & Glasses). He is specialized in the structure behaviour analysis, in fracture fatigue, damage and mechanical engineering. His current research interests include analysis of numerical methods, finite-element methods, boundary integrals, non-linear damage modelling and experimental optical fiber analysis. Another field of his research is concerned with low and medium electrical levels and has covered arc parameters and contact resistance and used in the telecommunication and automobile fields.
His work has been published in more than 200 papers. He manages a mechanical team which is interested in surfaces and contact problems.

Prof. Adinel Gavrus has received in 1996 the PhD degree in Materials Sciences from Mines Paris’Tech graduate and post-graduate engineering school (Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Paris) of France. Since 1997 it is Associate Professor (Maître de Conferences des Universités) at Mechanics and Control Systems Engineering Department of INSA Rennes obtaining in 2008 the Research Hab. Degree from University of Rennes1 (France) in the field of experimental and numerical material’s behaviour analysis corresponding to forming processes undergoing severe and rapid loadings using inverse analysis principle, finite element modelling and numerical optimization algorithms improvements. He has been obtained from the French National Universities Council the qualification for a full professor degree since 2009 in the field of Mechanics/Materials Engineering. He is author and co-author of more than 100 refereed journals and conference proceedings papers concerning rheological and tribological analysis of metallic materials and solid polymers undergoing important local thermo-mechanical gradients based on mesoscopic and multi-scale numerical approaches. He is an active member of editorial board for three international journals concerning materials science, applied mechanics and numerical modelling. He has been associated of a tens scientific boards and/or scientific sessions co-chairman of international conferences and is a frequent paper reviewer for a lot of international journals edited by Elsevier, Springer and Taylor & Francis. Georgeta Ionașcu is a professor at the POLITEHNICA University of Bucharest – UPB, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics, Department of Mechatronics and Precision Mechanics. About the Professor
Prof. Mihai Avram is a professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics of  University «Politehnica» of Bucharest. Over time, he has been through the full line of teaching positions, including: professor (2002), associate professor (1997), lecturer (1991), assistant (1986), assistant professor (1983), engineer (1981).
Since his graduation in 1981, he has been running several teaching and research activities. These include the following: elaboration of course support for three new disciplines in the specializations of mechatronics, fine mechanics and optics, 14 books and laboratory guidance materials and more than 120 published articles. He is also a promoter of the specialization of mechatronics in higher technical education in Romania and a member of the Research and Development Centre for Mechatronics.

Antonio Riveiro Rodriguez received his Ph.D. degree in applied physics from the University of Vigo, Pontevedra, Spain, in 2009. He was Assistant Professor of mechanics, electromagnetism, and fluid mechanics at the Defense University Center (Marín), University of Vigo, Pontevedra, Spain, from 2011 to 2014. Professor Jan Hošek is an Associate Professor of Design and Processing Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague since 2010 and got his PhD in Fine mechanics and optics in 2003 at the same university.
His experience includes a position of Leader of the Czech Technical University group in the National Center for Electron and Photon Optics (since 2018) and that of a Scientific board member of the Regional Centre for Special Optics and Optoelectronic Systems TOPTEC under the Institute of Plasma Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences (since 2013).
Between 2011 and 2019 has was a Vice-chairman of European Normalization Technical Committee CEN/TC 352 – Nanotechnology, and in 2010 he was appointed as a doctoral study program board member for Design and Processing Engineering at the Czech Technical University.Starting with 2006 to date, he has been involved in the scientific and research activity on the “OSQAR – CERN” project.In 2005, he has been appointed as a head of the Division of Precision Mechanics and Optics of the Institute of Instrumentation and Control Engineering under the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Czech Technical University.His main research experience and interests over the last five years include: Design of opto-mechanical instruments (Development of measurement instruments for Bidirectional Texture Function measurement – BTF – patent: 2018, EU and US patents: 2020; Design of the instrument for long-term measurement of concrete samples inside environmental chamber – patent: 2017; New instruments development based on laser triangulation principle – 3 patents: 2020) and Special production techniques (Micro EDM machining of micro mechanical and optical systems and Nano-related techniques).

Prof. Ziad Saghir got his Ph.D at the University of Toronto in 1984, his M.A.Sc at Universite Laval, in 1980 and his B.Sc at Universite Laval, in 1979.   Aurel – Mihail Țîţu is a Professor at the “Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu (ULBS), the Faculty of Engineering, the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management, and a PhD supervisor at the “Politehnica” University of Bucharest in the Fundamental Field of Engineering Sciences, and in the PhD Supervision Field of ENGINEERING and MANAGEMENT, and he is a co-founder of this field at the “Politehnica” University of Bucharest along with two other fellow professors. He has gone through all the stages in his didactic training, from the very position of a Tutor (1995), to the top position of a Professor (2007).
Since 2010, he has been an Expert and an European Consultant in Intellectual Property and an Ambassador of Innovation appointed for Europe and Asia, a director of the Regional Center for the Promotion of Industrial Property Protection of OSIM and EPO (“PATLIB” Center in Sibiu).Since 2007, he has been a President of the Romanian Association for Alternative Technologies in Sibiu (ARTA Sibiu) − a professional association whose research activity is accredited by the Ministry of Research and Innovation − and he is the Vice President of the Romanian Association of Unconventional Technologies in Romania headquartered in Timisoara, and the President of the Romanian Association for Unconventional Technologies − Sibiu Branch.He is an Active Member of the Romanian Academy of Scientists (AOSR) − Brașov Branch, a co-founder and an Editor-in-Chief of the “Nonconventional Technologies Review”, an Editor of the “Management of Sustainable Development Review”, an Editor and Co-founder of the “Journal of Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Control and Computer Science”, an Associate Editor of the “International Journal of Mechatronics and Applied Mechanics”, and a Member of the Editorial and Scientific Committee of numerous prestigious International Journals and Conferences in Romania, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, several countries in the European Union, Russia, Switzerland, China, Vietnam, Taiwan, etc.  He is the Scientific Secretary of the “Academic Management Society of Romania” Association − Sibiu Branch − and a Secretary General of the “China Center” Association in Romania.
